This granola recipe is fool proof! It’s warm and nutty; perfect for a satisfying snack or breakfast. I like to eat it for breakfast with yogurt with fresh berries or simply with almond milk. Mostly, I like to eat it by the handful as a slightly sweet snack for a late afternoon pick me up.
| Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Position rack in the center of the oven. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. |
| In a large bowl, combine oats, wheat germ, coconut, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, walnuts, almonds, cinnamon and salt. Combine well. |
| In a small bowl combine oil, honey, and vanilla extract. Whisk wet ingredients until well incorporated. |
| Pour wet ingredient mix into the dry ingredient bowl. Mix thoroughly until dry ingredients are well coated. Should be the texture of wet sand. |
| Pour mixture onto baking sheet and spread in an even layer. |
| Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown. |
| Stir the granola about halfway through cooking time to ensure even cooking. |
| Remove from oven and let it cool completely. |
| Add dried fruit or flax seeds as desired. |
